Bloom's Unit Matrix Instructions
Directions
This chart is based on the system of questioning called Bloom's Taxonomy of Questioning. This system utilizes the six types of questions, ranging from simple to higher level. The six levels of questioning are: Knowledge, Comprehension, Application, Analysis, Synthesis, and Evaluation.
The Unit Matrix uses the six levels to develop activities while studying the novel Holes by Louis Sachar. These activities are designed to challenge and stimulate the students while studying key issues in the main character's life. If all activities were done this strategy could feasible take a month or more. This is designed to merely make available different ideas for activities on different levels.
