Biography:

Rebecca Walker Clarke has taught Honors Writing and Rhetoric for eleven years. Some ways Rebecca accomplishes the University's aims for the course are: ♦ Students choose their own topics on all major papers. ♦ Peer editing groups allow students to give and receive feedback on every major paper. ♦ All students meet individually to discuss every major paper with Rebecca. ♦ Students find a service learning project of their choice and devote ten hours to it. Students report on their experience with a formal presentation and tie their experience to the research essay. ♦ Students are introduced to International Cinema, the BYU MOA, and another great works experience. ♦ We begin compiling the Honors portfolio. ♦ Great Works salon groups help students engage in two great works of their choice outside of class with their peers. ♦ An online discussion group through Blackboard helps students complete the informal writing element of the course. ♦ The grammar rodeo!
