What I Know What I Want to Learn How I will Find Out What I Learned

Happened in Salem, Mass. Lots of people were falsely accused and killed. They were sometimes thrown in the water and if they drowned they were innocent. People did something called "crying out." Arthur Miller wrote a play about it. Considered a great tragedy.

What the exact dates were. How many were actually accused and killed. Why Miller wrote The Crucible during the 50s. How the trials worked (judicial system). If it happened anywhere else around the same time. What happened to those accused who named others and what happened to those who didn't. Names of important or "famous" people involved in the trials. Internet Library Personal Library Movies Books that would be beneficial include 1692 Witch Hunt: The Layman's Guide to the Salem Witchcraft Trials by George Malcolm Yool, The Salem Witch Trials Reader by Francis Hill, A Break With Charity: A Story About the Salem Witch Trials (Great Episodes) by Ann Rinaldi, and The Crucible by Arthur Miller.
