Colin Rafferty English Reading Series

A native Midwesterner, Colin Rafferty studied nonfiction
writing at Kansas State University, Iowa State University,
and the University of Alabama. He is the author of
Hallow This Ground, a book of creative nonfiction about
monuments and memorials, which was published in
2016 by Break Away Books/Indiana University Press.
He teaches nonfiction writing at the University of Mary
Washington, where he is an associate professor of
English, and lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife
and their dog. His current project is collection of forty-six
essays about the presidents of the United States, and
he is beginning work on a book about the Vietnam War.
