Keith Lawrence Receives Fulbright Scholar Teaching Award

Professor Keith Lawrence has received a 2017-18 Fulbright Scholar Teaching Award; he’ll be gone from the end of August 2017 through late July 2018. His assigned host university is Beijing Normal University located just a few kilometers from the Forbidden City in central Beijing where he will teach MA and BA courses (in English) focused on nineteenth-century American literature, twentieth-century American literature, and American culture. He will also be able to travel to other universities in China and present guest lectures there. His wife, Tracy, and two youngest sons will accompany Dr. Lawrence. Tracy has been invited by BNU to teach classes in the English Language department. His sons will be enrolled in the Chinese Language/Culture program at BNU. Dr. Lawrence is excited for this opportunity and the foundations this experience will provide his teaching of and research in Chinese/Chinese American literatures.
